Quick Scroll FAQ: Physiology Textbook to follow for AIPGE ? 02.25.06 (2 years ago) #1

hi all .. can someone please suggest the utility ot the textbook "UNDERSTANDING MEDICAL Physiology " by Dr. R L Bijlani? i read some topics from it and found the concepts beautifully explained, but because of lack of time and recommendation for pre-pg preparation m apprehensive of going further with it. should i go back to ganong, or this book ok, since i get engrossed in it v easily?

in my 1st mbbs i used to read guyton because it was recommended by our teachers. but problem was that the book is quite lengthy and recomended book for prepg is ganong. so i tried both little bit so i prefer to do some topics from guyton and some from ganong.

I think you should study ganong as much as possible as that makes very basics & now a day they are asking more & more modified & conceptual questions rather than repeat them from question banks as used to be the case earlier.

if i am a student and if i come to know the book that my examiner uses to pick up and frame the questions which book will i use ??????

will i be asking people about books that no one has heard of

surely not.

though no one knows for sure what book AIIMS uses for Physiology but the pattern of questions points towards ganong ganong ganong ganong.

i do not know about other books.
