Hello.I know this is an MPPG Forum. But I was wondering if someone could give me some information about Goverment Medical College,Jabalpur;specifically General Medicine.I have a fair chance(AIPGE Rank of 871)of getting a Medicine seat in Jabalpur. Is it good?

Also how is G.R.Medical College,Gwalior?

Thanks for the reply. But I don't think I've a shot at those with my rank. Are Gwalior and Jabalpur worth taking?

How are the facilities in the latter two?Is there an ICU?Ventilator care?

congrats shaklebolt for ur rank.no ideas about gwl, but jbp medi deptt does have an ICU...pateint load poor, inv facilities diappointing....perhaps thats why this deptt is ranked the lowest amongst MP colleges...but chill, its not that bad either...we need good guys coming in...who knows, u can make some difference! all the best

The anaes ICU does have ventilator facilities..but CT installation is just on papers till now! Inspite of all this, some of the proffs are tremendous...they are ones who make the deptt work inspite of all its backdrops.....and hey, the selection rate for DMs is pretty decent from our college...lots of time for PGs to study, u see! icon_smile.gif

this is the college which is providing degree only.
college is situated 8-10 km far from city so no pt load.
there is no rotetion in this college so if stick some bad unit than whole 3 years you will be in same one.
working envonment is also bad.
last but not the least your 2nd year seniors from mp pg has come from paper leak so don't expect any thing from tham.

college website will not tell that all medicine residents from mp pg are came from unfair means.
vir please ask any of medicine resident of your college regarding rotetion schedule than only u will agary with me.
and for work load u just see how many hours a second year or third year resident spends in hospital.
for second year it is 4-5 hours, and 1-3 hours for third year residents.
only one pleasent thing is that u will get enough time to prepare for DM enterance exams,. thats why many students of this college are doing DM .
