FAQ: Where to stay in Delhi during coucelling?

hey,.... friends in delhi,.... would be very helpful if u could suggest a good and at the same time 'cheap' place to stay in delhi ,..... someplace that would be near to the counceling centre. esp a good dharamshala,... lodge, etc.
bcos, hey hotels are very easy to find no problem about them. dharamshala and like re not. there would be many people in search for a reasobable place to stay,....... i am sure.
so please suggest. thanks.

hi .. good post shaky .. it ll surely help out the outsiders ..
another thing whic is botherin me is bush s visit 2 delhi .. with all the high prcedented security i hope it doesnt disrupt the train n fight timings n local bus movement in delhi ..

though i m not from delhi
i have visited delhi many a times
u people can stay at a no. of good n medium class hotels at pahargunj area
it would b specially suited if u r goin by train as that place is just besides the n d rlwy stn.
more inf can b provided by a delhiite

there is gujarati samaj near central delhi i do not much how far it is from venue of councelling

Connaught place and Paharganj are qute close to counseling venue and your travel time should not be more than 15 minutes (depending upon traffic).
MAMC hostel is at walking distance from the counseling venue, so if you can find a long lost friend in MAMC, that will become the ideal choice. Otherwise you can try YMCA in connaught place or cheap Paharganj hotels

Inidan Medical Association at ITO is quite close to the counseling venue and they do provide accomodation. But that might be a bit more costly than others (INR 250 onwards a night) and require membership of IMA.

doctor friends,
u've all gotten thro AIPGE
... soon to be MD's... splurg.... treat ur parents to a five star dinner, a movie at PVR, take ur mom out shoping at shoppers stop,karol bagh, the malls in gurgaon... kya cheap hotels, kya staying arrangements??.. let this b the first celebration among the many more to come...
