i am from bangalore.i keep reading a lot about vidyasagar notes in some forums.
what is this?is this a book from publishers or from a tutorial firm?
how good is it?

vidyasagar is classes for pg entrance..see their website.
ppl take their correspondence course where they r provided wid the notes.

Believe me The postal correspondence course of Vidyasagar's total crap . I myself had enrolled in them when I didn't know better .

If U really need then, then IAMS notes are quite helpful .

vidyasagar notes are not crap . one has to approach them differently. try reading them in your spare time just like a GQ book. you will gain a lot

If u r stuck in Pune & there's NO other coaching & U really need 2 join a coaching Then , I s'pose U have 2 join Vidyasagar only .

If coaching is what you want to join then join some in Delhi.
if a detailed list of prep materials is what is required then read below:

anat : AAA

physio : ganong, AAA, (vidyasagar notes for casual reading)

biochem : harper (retro) , AAA

Pharma : KDT (retro), Kaplan Q bank

Patho : Father Rbbins ( retro for goal directed reading, but read like a text to build basics)

Micro :Paniker, AAA, jawetz (if you have time)

FM :AAA, Bhatia notes

PSM :Park (retro),AAA

Statistics : vidyasagar notes , AA

Ophthal : Parsons ( you may try Kanski, i did not, bought parson before that)

ENT : Dhingra, AA, mudit khanna
Medicine : harrison(retro)

Surgery : just do the mcqs. there is no limit to the books you will have to refer. i did not even touch bailey for the whole year

orthopaedics : ???, Adams , maheswari, IAMS notes, Vidyasagar notes

Skin : harrison, IAMS notes

Psychiatry : ahuja, IAMS notes

Gynae and Obs : Mcqs, Try Williams (retro) ,shaw (retro)

Paediatrics : Ghai (retro), vidyasagar notes

Anaesthesia : IAMS notes

Radiology : ?????

in the end do these books in the order given : ,Mudit khanna, Amit ashish,Kaplan Q bank,
