hi,
i'm adding important side effects of some important drugs , plzz do add ur list so , that its easy for reviewing!
Ethambutol = loss of red-green visual acuity
Pyrazinamide= liver toxicity,gout
Carbamazapine = SIADH , haematotoxic
Lithium = hypothyroidism, weight gain, psoriasis flare, tremor,
acne, DI
Aminoglycosides = ototoxicity and nephrotoxicity
Bleomycin = pulmonary fibrosis
Doxorubicin and Daunorubicin = cardiotoxicity
Cyclophosphamide = hemorrhagic cystitis
Vincristine = peripheral neuropathy
Metronidazole = Disufiram-like reaction and peripheral neuropathy ,
metallic taste
Niacin= flushing and abnormal LFTs
HMG CoA (Statins) = myositis, elevated AST and ALT
Thiazide diuretics = hypercalcemia, gout
Metformin= anorexia, weight loss and lactic acidosis
Imipenem= seizures
Rifampicin= changes color of urine, tears, skin to an orange color

1. Trazadone = priapism
2.Verapamil = constipation
3.ACE I inhibitors = angioedema, rash, dry cough
4. Clopidogrol = HUS, TTP
6. Indinavir = renal stones
7. AZT = bone marrow suppression, macrocytic anemia
8. Heparin = thrombocytopenia (HIT)
9. INH = peripheral neuropathy
10. Hydralazine= Lupus-like syndrome (also Procainamide)

PHENYTOIN-nystagmus,diplopia,ataxia,sedation,gingival hyperplasia,anemias,hirsutism,fetal hydantoin syndrome.
DIGOXIN-Arrythmias,nausea,diarrhea.
BETA2 AGONIST-Skeletalmuscle tremor.
CIMETIDINE- INHIBITS hepatic drug metabolising enzymes,gynaecomsatia.

(lipodystrophy)
Cisapride = Torsade
Methotrexate (long-term use)= liver fibrosis, folate deficiency
anemia
Asparaginase = pancreatitis

Aspirin = ototoxicity and respiratory alkalosis/metabolic acidosis
(mixed)
Quinidine = diarrhea, thrombocytopenia
Acarbose = flatuence, GI distress
Methimazole = agranlocytosis, aplastic anemia
Prazosin = First-dose syncope (give the first dose in your office)
