hello friends,
a lot of controversy has developed from the recent order to postpone the AIPGE counselling. our student doctor community has also been divided into 2 groups
a) who favour reexamination B)who oppose rexamination
it is a matter of great debate and a never ending one. lets not start it here again
BUT ALL OF US WILL DEFINATLY AGREE THAT SUCH MALPRACTICE SHOULD END ONCE AND FOR ALL and everybody gets what he really deserves

one way that i can think of to prevent such discrepancies in future is to bring more TRANSPARENCY icon_idea.gif
and AIIMS people can definatly do that for us by:

"GIVE US THE OFFICIAL ANSWERKEY TO THE PAPER
GIVE US OUR SCORE"

a lot of new surprises will come out then!!! icon_twisted.gif
i sincerely request rxpg team to consider this and take an initiative in this direction for the benefit of the deserving students
thank u.

hi every one

I think that disclosing the answer kee is not a good idea.
you know that medicine is an everchanging field with lots of controversies.
we are often stuck b/w a couple of options which are equally correct and quoted in standard books on the same topic. eg according to harrisons the most common mode of inheritance of genetic diseases is autosomal dominant where as robbins says it to be autosomal recessive. and you see that both books are STANDARD.

giving the answer key would only invite debate and some may even go to the courts. the same thing happened in my state a few years ago with the pmt exam. and the govt fed up of the court proceedings decided not to give the keys from then.

so i think thats not a good idea !!!

moreover those who get the question paper before the DAY, cannot de brought to justice this way.

Hello friends,
Its now really long since we have been bearing with the system. we all will agree that aipg is not corruption free since many many years; and even when this fact's been known to all, the trend still continues. But the majority wish to change it.

The second point which needs address is - "Is the current all india exam pattern a real judge of our destinies as doctors?" I mean that majority of us during our preps do feel that most of the mcqs are inefficient in deciding who can be a better clinician.

This thread is started to pool your ideas.
the ideas which we have during our preparation (and forget them after we get a rank). ideas to improve the exam. ideas to make it corruption free. ideas to ......

Remember that being the part of this exam as students, the ideas we can give will be the most beneficial. And no one else will take the pains to do so.

So please pour in your methodology in this thread so that we can pool it into a very good set of recommendations. these can then be sent to MCI, AIIMS and Health Ministry.
Remember that when there are bad people, there are also good people.
And we will be heard.

icon_biggrin.gif
And I am sure we can bring about a change toward a better future AIPG exams. icon_lol.gif icon_smile.gif

one way to reduce paper leak -

As all india exam is held in 15 cities, the controller of examination should hire a well equipped printing press ineach city for a couple of days.

instead of sending the question papers to these cities from delhi few days before the exam. the paper should be sent electronically to these printing press a day befor or if possible just a night before. then under security the paper can be printed, packed and sent to all centres in the city on the exam morning.

this way paper wont be leaked 2 days before the exam as can happen with the current procedure, because the paper would be secure in the examination section till the final eve. No chance of leak before that.

and for this if the examination section comes under financial burden, i am sure that almost everyone of us would be ready to pay even double the present form fees, to ensure a transparent exam.

thank u star one for staRTING THIS THREAD. DEFINITELY OUR SYSTEM OF EXAMINATION IS VERY VERY PRIMITIVE.LET ME START FROM THE TIME WE START FILLING FORMS....WHY CANNOT WE FILL THE FORMS ONLINE????..ITS IS A TRIED AND TESTED METHOD ALL OVER THE WORLD.(KMC MANIPAL HAS THIS FACILITY).WHY IS THERE NOT A SEPARATE BODY TO CONDUCT AIPGE ...REMEMBER THE HONORable supreme court directed AIIMS to conduct AIIMS till a separate body was contituted for AIPGE exams...its more than 7years and still people concerned r sleeping over it . AIIMS has not harnessed technology to conduct examinations.the govt medical colleges except a few central institutes do not even have a official website . there is no central linking of the medical colleges ...no directory ...just nothing .basic malady of our nation is chalta hai atitude.from the west we will pick their style of not wearing clothes ..their culture etc etc ....but not there scietific, logical, convinent ,full proof ways of conducting exams. example USMLE .......do u know who is the biggest enemy of indians(no not the pakis) ..its indians themselves.......with such a rich genetic pool we could be the knowledge superpower .....but talent is being killed , frustated ,cheated, mocked ,******. example AIPGE 2006 fiasco .its high time people concerned start doing their job. .................. chalo dil halka ho gaya..............bhadash nikal gayi ..................... nothing wioll change in my lifetime.

hey guys

whats the matter yaar. why cant you all reply.

if you can have a debate on re exam, ramdoss, etc etc, then why cant you post your ideas.

please remember thats its only you who can do it. each and every one of you is required to do your bit. just dont sit and wait for others.

each one of us will have to come forward to change the system.

we all need to contribute.

hope to have a better response.

thanx
