Quick Scroll Harrison... 03.26.06 (2 years ago) #2

If you want to prepare with final target of AIPGE , you have to read Harrison.

The main reason for it is, the mcqs on following subjects have been asked from it(as a referance book in Amit-Ashish):
Medicine- of course!
Pathology & Pahrmacology- frequently..
Physiology , Microbiology & Paediatrics - also
But sometimes even O&G, Surgery & Orthopaedicas!!!!!

I think this is enough for you to decide what to read..!

Another factor what I consider important is- our examiners will have read Harrison. so If you speak from it, they will be easily impressed! some sort of like speaking same language, isn't it?!

hi roshan 2k....

it is not possible to read the harrison cover to cover and remember everything.... harrison is mainly a book of reference...
davidson on the other hand is very good book... so is kumar and clark....
so i'd suggest u buy the harrison no doubt, but u will also need to buy a relatively less exhaustive text like davidson or kumar and clark...
use one of these and refer to harrison for important topics, tables and charts (they r really really good)
hope this helps...
good luck!
