Dear doctor Potla, i am sorry to say you may be wrong to say "VERY" vague question. Though Medicine has no boundery and it was a question based on the management process in Australia and New Zealand .

Every question got its own value, though the question sounds like very eassy , basically it was not , and i still have not got the right answer.

I have a great respect to your openion but Medicine is not always 2+2=4! Some time it is different.
I am sorry if i heart you. Keep the good works Up! I believe if you dont criticise your fellow doctor you are not helping him.
Thank you and good luck.

Pneumococcal vaccine.

probably they are expecting this in their country (Australia and New Zealand or america) for routine management for a healthy elderly man above 65 yrs. to prevent pnemococcal sepsis/pnemonia which they think will be more useful still further esp if the pt has copd/DM /crf

BUT IN INDIA WHERE WE DON`T EVEN HAVE BREAD FORGET THE BUTTER!-- SO THE CHOICE IN INDIA WILL BE CHEST X RAY AND ECG AND BLOOD SUGAR.....ANY THING MORE THAN THIS IS A PRIEVIELAGE....

READ THE QUESTION CAREFULLY- '''wohld you routinely recommended ? ''
PNEMOCOCCAL VACCINE DEFINETLY ACCORDING TO THEM.( WHERE CHEST X RAY AND ECG AND OTHER LAB PARAMETERS ARE TAKEN FOR GRANTED WHETHER ITS INDICATED OR NOT!

ROBERT.
