medical college baroda.
hello friends. i completely agree with shaky in his post regarding the state of gen med in this hospital
this institute has 6 units for surgery.
advantage:
hospital and campus very large.
good patient flow and high workload.
good reputation
disadvantage:
most facilities are restricted to basic requirements only.
many investigations have to be done from outside
though workload is very high, residents get minimal surgeries to do(and i mean very very very few).
very less and unresponsive paramedical staff increases the workload and headache for doctors and residents
not a very powerful students body or association
most probably there is no MCh seat here.
majority of residents were not satisfied here and advised to go to other better place if available.
stipend 8000-10000.
overall falls btw average and below average.

i agree with the1,about, baroda medical college
although the patient inflow is good,but lack of basic facilities makes work difficult.
i have heard that even 3rd year residents r not allowed to do any thing but hernia n hydrocele......

but then "GRASS IS ALWAYS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE"
