Well I guess In Psychiatry a etc in the question gives a chill..

Well Just anxiety and nightmares may be benzodiazapine will help but does he need for 1 year may be.. War is difficult thing to get over so.

Behavior therapy is given for phobias, cognitive behavior therapy is given for anxiety but book says it need to be given for 3-4 months 2 months atleast. So is it enough?

Now the First Option stars making more sense you do not know what has happened with him in the war. So I think Psychoanalysis to find the exact cause of anxiety is opt. Well to support this Idea are movies which show the psychiatrist talking in detail with soldiers. Seriously It may be important for that government or UN to take the matter seriously.

If it is a exam question I would not attempt it. If held at gun point to answer I'll put it as a. Psychotherapy and then pray...Heeeeeeee icon_wink.gif icon_twisted.gif

Probable PTSD >> CBT

you won't do psycho-analysis for such cases as INITIAL management. The psychological treatment shown to be most effective for PTSD is cognitive behavior therapy (CBT).
