i did my MD medicine from Gandhi Medical College, bhopal.
presently doing DM
Cardiology.
I can tell some facts about this college .
Disadvntages:
1. patient load: good, but mostly infectious diseases.
2. no ventilator care. so no exposure to vent management.
3. investigations at basic level. No hi-fi work up possible.
4. no separate specialities. but exposure to dialysis, little endoscopy there. Neurology just ok. Cardiology which is the only separate speciality, is very good.
5. teaching and academics, i would rate two out of ten.
6. Teaching staff: not great. just keep irritating you. ALL OF THEM.
advantages:
1. Cardiology dept very good. No DM
seats here, so medicine residents manage everything, and so exposed to every thing. good teaching rounds.
2.surprisingly high number of passed out MD students get through DM
course. I mean very high number. most of them DM
Cardio.
3. good stipend.
4. bhopal is a nice place to live.
