Langman is a good book if you have the time and interest to do embryology throughly!
Also,i.b.singh is good for embryology in short!
dutta for anat is great ,especially abdomen n thorax.
hope this helps.

yea.first year is particularly tough for students who have just passed out their 12 th grades..its good to be serious enough from now on..
regarding the books..
Anatomy
-chaurasia 3 volumes along with netters human Anatomy
atlas(this book,i love it seriously)
Physiology
-sembulingam combined with guyton
Biochemistry
-satyanarayan only.
if u need additional refrences in Biochemistry
,rana shinde is the best one..
i hope this answers ur question

to solve quality mcqs u require an indepth knowledge.... which is difficult to have in 1st year...
but still if u wanna keep into the habbit of mcq's tats good....
but going into a battle ground without enough preparations is meaningless.
load of mcq books are available... check the market.
