Rxpg team I dont think Babla is right in putting JJ behind BJ in med.I have an example of a friend from KEM who chose BJ over JJ in last year allindia. He repented. He has vividly described how cats and dogs had a VIP access to CCUs and MICUs there. Not so in JJ.I feel JJ should come before BJ.

i wud like to say...jj is better than tnmc in medicine....
infact during couselling ppl prefer JJ next to GSMC......

and second thing i ll request all pgmcetite who aspires to become MD medicine or MD pediatrics and are not having the the expected rank to get into the good college in maharshatra , pls do not write SRTR MC as the option in prefernce form....
its too bad wrt to pg......
write only if u have no other better option left...
or only if u r dying to get into the field.....

I dont think there is much to choose between JJ and BJ when it comes to academics.. but yeah over the yeas JJ has become more controversial due to internal politics, VIP patients, attack on docs and what not... JJ is not what it used to be.. but given the choice i would prefer JJ against TNMC ... u may say i'm biased toward my alma mater... but best clinicians in mumbai have come from JJ and it really helps when you going to network in future...

Thanks for the input DrJayKill. Can we have a formal and brief review of MD Medicine seat in your college as well?

hi gabu!!!

regarding ur queries:

1. i mentioned it for maharshtra entrance students only..ie PGMCET.(where we are given preference form ...a bit confusing for us..but is very convenient....u need not bother)
2. this coll seats are not recognised for medicine by MCI so they are not there for AIPGE.
3. and see the list provided for MD medicine on RXPG homepage regarding the last year counselling, which will give u fair idea......

hope it helps!

hello dr aditi, Thank you very much for solving my query and also sorry to disturb you again. i wanted to ask an another question. As you have mentioned that those colleges are not recognised be mci so they are not for aipge. But i know some colleges which are given provisional recognision by mci and they are in the list of pg seats in all india. Means they are given the status "permitted non recognised". so what to do about that colleges? are they going to be recognised when the first pg batch will pass the exams? or it may happen that they will never get recognised even though they are in all india quota? is it a great risk to get an admission in that colleges which are at present permitted by all india quota.?? plz reply... i hope u will make me thankful as before.
thank you

I WILL SUGGEST ALL THOSE WHO ARE ASPIRING FOR PG SEAT IN MAHARASHTRA TO GO THROUGH THE RECENT NOTIFICATIONS OF GOVERNMENT OF MAHARSHTRA REGARDING SERVICE BOND.
LAST YEAR IT WAS FOR 3 YEARS (POST MD/MS/DIPLOMA) AND BOND AMOUNT WAS RS 15 LAC.
THIS BOND WILL DEFINITELY BE AN OBSTACLE THOSE WHO WANT TO SERVE OUTSIDE MAHARSHTRA.
TILL DATE GOVERNMENT WAS NOT STRICT FOR IMPLENTATION OF THIS BOND. BUT FOLLOWING REASONS MIGHT LEAD TO STRICT IMPLEMENTATION FROM THIS YEAR ONWARDS

1) RECENT NOTIFICATION, AS PER DIRECTIVES OF HIGH COURT AFTER RESIDENT DOCTORS STRIKE.

2) VACANCIES IN RURAL HEALTH CENTRES, WHICH ARE BEING DISCUSSED IN MAHARASHTRA ASSEMBLY

3) RECENT EPIDEMICS OF MALNUTRITION AND QUESTIONS RAISED OVER HEALTH SERVICES

4) MAHRASHTRA GOVERNMENT IS WILLING TO STRENTHEN THE HEALTH SERVICES BY RECRUITING MORE AND MORE SPECILISTS IN RURAL HOSPITALS.

5) GROWING MOVEMENTS FROM LOCAL ORGANISATIONS FOR NEED OF SPECIALIST HEALTHCARE.

SAD THING IS THAT NOT EVEN DIPLOMA HOLDERS ARE EXEMPTED FROM T5HIS SERVICE BOND.

I PROTEST AGAINST THIS. I SINCERELY RECOMMEND TO THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED IN MAHARASHTRA SHOULD GIVE A SECOND THOUGHT AND OPT FOR OTHER OPTION.
