HI ,
My friend joined DGO in MMC(MAdras Medical College) last Year( she was from Chattisgarh) first question she was asked was
"why did u take MMC , didn't u get any seat in north"?
There is no teaching at all in any of the departments, u have to learn everything by urself. Even seniors won,t tell u any thing.
the rule there is " i have learnt myself and so u should learn urself."
THERE IS BOND ( 2 TYpES) .
1. FOR DISCONTINUATION OF COURSE AROUND RS 40,000 ( and i think refund of stpiend what ever u received and also 1st stipend u receive after 8 months THAT too only RS 5000 pm)
2.RURAL bond on completion of course the deatils of which will not be told to u before and after joining ,but u have to sign bond on bond paper.

The hostel facilities are also no good. 3 pgs in a room of which 1 might sleep on floor(no cots).Food is also not good.
Utimately my friend discontiued the course.
SO pLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE JOINING MMC.
REGARDS

Read about the fees and Stipend before you come to tamil nadu. Also the fact that you have to refund the stipend and pay a hefty fine

In addition, you mayhave to serve for 3 years in a GH / PHC of tamil nadu for Rs 10000 per month after your PG
