hi bhavatropin,
Dermatology is one of the upcoming branches which were neglected in the past.
it has immense scope...especially with new researches and advances being done in the field
at present there is no proper superspeciality course in India, but still the dermatologists specialise while in practice, as one of the following-
1. Dermato-physicians
2. Dermato-surgeons
3. Dermatopathologists
4. Dermato-venereologists
5. Cosmetologists
you can go for private practice or join a premier instt. for research and further studies, both are equally good options.

hi shuva,

i have seen dermatologists doing extremely well with a DDVL ....u always have an option of doing an MD after DD or ....u can do a DNB both of them require a training of 2 yrs after DDVL

if at all u don't do the above.....then also u can go for a few certificate courses in cosmetology which is much in vogue these days....

i personally know a senior who by circumstances cud do only DDVL but has a roaring private and corporate hospital practice.........and knowledge that no MD or DNB can match her wits and so is respected likewise...

so again i say...it depends on you how u make the best of ur course that u are offered

all the best !!!
