Quick Scroll FAQ: Why a PDA is essential for a doctor? 03.16.06 (2 years ago) #1

I am able to save my notes, my meetings, calender events, reminders my wallet codes, in my Cell Nokia 6020. it also has GPRS so that makes it useful for wireless internet connection too, if i need that anytime ( i m using LAN of late).

Anybody plz tell what additional Benefits or in fact utilities are there that I can use in PDA, IN short please tell me what are extra useful features in PDA other than those I mentioned in my cell. I am seeing people here very fond of PDAs, but none of my acquintances have PDA. So any body there plz give me some knowledge, If found useful I will certainly get my PDA.

hi pda is like a mini computer-palmtop. u can access windows word, excel power point and so much more u can do with that, its esp useful if u have lots of computer sync.work or u use lots of ms office. u can save and run ur windows application from it, besides its being a high end phone also has other featurees like external memory, cam and other benefits.

dear dr vijayamalik

never compare a laptop with a pda.ofcourse if you are using a pocket pc with windows operating system you may be able to do a lot of function wat a pc/laptop may provide, like microsoft office windows media player, internet explorer etc.... but with a pocket pc phone like o2 or imate u can make call too..

The other side of this coin is that if you have a pda with gprs/edge enabled you are virtually online 24hrs (and pretty easy to use comparing normal gsm phones) also you can run whole lot of programmes like medical softwares, messengers,
book readers etc etc...... its damn handy

wat i suggest personally is to go for a pocket pc as u have a desktop in your home

thanks

pocket pc's are marketed by O2, i-mate, and Eten.
i use the word marketed because they dont manufacture these... mind you most of the pocketPC models of these three are EXACT same phones only with differnce in branding.

Pocket PC's have the best funcionality in its size category... and provide good value for money.
