I had written DM neurology post MBBS exam last time, As far as the pattern is concerned it is same as any other exam with multiple choice questions, MCQ's are picked up from all the entrance exams( pulse, Ashish,Amit, Mudit khanna) , and some basic questions from Neurology(neurophysiology part from ganong, neurohistology part from Inderbir singh, neuroanatomy , LINDSAY , Snell's Neuroanatomy, High Yield Neuroanatomy, Neurology from Harrisons Internal Medicine)....

Exam should be prepared as if you are preparing for some All India exam or AIIMS keeping at the back of the mind some neurology MCQs and text from the mentioned books........

entrance test for DM /MCh & PhD are 1 & the same & held on the same day. they put different anking for each streams separately.
