Yes only 6 weeks at a time for a clinical attachment.... no matter how long you have the clinical attachment for.

hii doc2000
Even my situation is very similar 2 urs..visa expires on may 7th. Totally confused whether i shud return or extend for once to make sure trusts follow these rules strictly. Hope i cud come in to a decision by april 2nd wk.
As far as i know we can extend visa using attachment, but only for 6wks at a time. £500 for 6wks...Is it worth???
NHS employers website says that they will allow short period attachments. May be they think its another way to squeez money..

What ishanu says is true....
