HI I AM A POST GRADUATE IN INTERNAL MEDICINE FROM INDIA WITH 3 YEARS POST GRADUATE EXPERIENCE, I HAVE APPLIED FOR SPECIALIST ASSESSMENT WITH AMC. HAS ANYONE ELSE TAKEN THIS UP, OR CAN ANYONE TELL ME ABOUT THEIR EXPERIENCE, IN SPECIALIST ASSESSMENT.

i filled up the preliminary form on net fees was 45 aud, they sent me forms, they need a lot of documents, i sent them back somewhat late, i got the acknowledgement just now, fees was 225 aud . you can get the information on amc website. by the way i am also interested in endocrinology, where you got your diploma in diabetes, from chennai

Thanks. I got the fellowship from AMrita institute of medical sciences, cochin. Unfortunatly my IELTS
results were published today.I got 7.5 in listening, 7 in speaking,9 in reading but only 6 in writing and over all band of 7.5. I think i need to write again.
By the way can i apply for assessment now itself

Hi Bins, I don't think you can apply for assessment now because of your IELTS
. You have to obtain a band 7 for each components first.

HI NIC, GUDS HERE, HEY PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO APPLY FOR OR RATHER SEARCH FOR AON JOBS ON NET , I AM NOT GETTING ANY HEADWAY, I APPLY FOR SMO, PHO POSITIONS THRU NET, THEY CLAIM TO GET IMPRESSED BY MY MY CREDENTIALS, BUT DO NOT SELECT ME, IS IT NECESSARY TO BE REGISTERED BEFORE APPLYING FOR THESE POSITIONS

Hi Guds,
I think you'll have better chances if you'll apply directly to the hospitals rather than through agencies as agencies are looking for something specific (seems like it). Just google for Australian hospitals, and they have a list of vacancies at their websites. And no, you don't have to be registered with the state boards before applying because they will be the one to help you with the registration if accepted for the job. Keep trying.

THANKS NIC FOR PROMPT RESPONSE, YES YOU ARE RIGHT THAT RECRUITMENT AGENCIES PREFER PEOPLE WITH UK ERXPERIENCE. HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT OCCUPATIONAL TRAINEE POSITIONS, WHERE YOU GO FOR JUST GAI NING MORE KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE IN A PARTICULAR FEILD, WITHOUT ANY INTENTION OF LIVING IN OZ PERMANENTLY.
