Hi guys
its really disheartening to see the state councelling getting postponed due to
AIPGE
mess
let me throw light on few facts
as per SC guidelines from previous years, AIPGE
1st councelling is to be conducted before states start there 1st councelling this is for the convinence for rankers in both the exams.
this year too the original schedule was the same but because of the alleged leak in AIPGE
at Chennai and the CBI enquiry whose report was not ready on 20st for SC hearing--
the court has asked to submit CBI report on 31st for 2nd hearing. now keeping with the above guidelines the state councelling also stands postponed .....................
the government pleaded 2 following points which the court granted --
--1) they be given time to wait for CBI report
2)they may conduct a re-exam if mal-practice is detected
the implication of this hearing on state ranker like me and others is that states 1st councelling cannot occur till AIPGE
1st councel occurs also the lapse of seats that we were hoping form ALL INDIA QUOTA in state quota will not occur .
the other frightening fact is that ,as per MCI guidelines all admission procedures for PG are to be completed by 2nd May otherwise it could be a zero year means NO students are admitted for PG courses for the year .
It has happened in NIMHANS
in 2004 after a similar situation arised.
now guys, later the AIPGE
case is resolved ,later will be AIPGE
councelling ,
and state councel will be further delayed or may not happen at all ending in a zero year.
Why the delay ?
The AIPGE
rankers who are fighting case in SC for early AIPGE
councel couldnot get result in 1st court hearing because they fought the case with intermediate level lawyer as against Mr G.Subramaniam the top renounced lawyer presenting Govt.
AIPGE
ranker didnt have enough funds to hire a top lawyer
they are struggling to get more funds
what can we do ?
As all of us are struck due to this delay it makes sense to us & it is also in our own fovour to support AIPGE
rankers in their case for an early verdict .
what they are falling short is funds , even Rs 500-1000/ contribution from each one of us will be of great help think wisely and long term.
see AIPGE
forum FOR more details oN how to contribute
WE SHOULD DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO PREVENT A ZERO YEAR OF 2006...

yes he is right .....i have confirmed the above threat from an authentic source in the ministry but cannot quote the name due to obvious reason .
there is a possibility of zero year for 2006 ,as it ha happened in NIMHANS
in 2004 when the said pg admission process could not be completed before the stipulated date given in MCI guidelines .
the following 2 worst case scenario can occur ---
1) AIPGE
case drags on till 12 MAY following which the court is shut for 2 month for summer vacation ,but state councelling is ordered before that and the AIPGE
seats lapse to next year (it is almost impossible that court will allow that all AIPGE
seats lapse to states for same year as it will make mockery of AIPGE
exam ,something which was started by the HONOURABLE SC itself .)
2) AIPGE
case drags on and court refuges to allow states councelling till AIPGE
1st round occurs , summer vacation starts .31st may deadline of MCI CANT BE MET ,
ZERO YEAR FOR BOTH AI AND STATE QUOTA.
now friends the second option is really scarry .
i think state rankers should start supporting AIPGE
rankers to finish their case soon its in everyones interest .
see AIPGE
forum for further details .

me too sincerely hope that this senario doesnt arise
but anything can happen in mismanaged INDIA and i dont think this is a risk worth taking, rather i would prefer to help the AIPGE
rankers with their case through my 1st contribution of Rs 1000/ for their 2nd hearing on 31st march
hope things turn out in every rankers favour.
.........rankers wake up its now or after 1 yr ............
