... pmch n darbhanga... better departments in these colleges...their infrastructure....stipend...academics....

hi everyone,
im a UG from PMCH.
first of all i congratulate all of u on your ranks. though i feel bad as our college didnt do well on it best rank is 50sth, though he also got 120 sth in AIPGE
.
2nd rank from NMCH, gr8 guy appearing chance and has rank in BHU
too, so he'll be leaving Bihar
if he gets medicine in BHU
.....his sibling with me.
if you get clinicals, u have all probability of getting hostel.im not sure abt para clinicals.
girls have ample hostel room in their hostel. the Gynae
there is good. gr8 patient inflow.
the stipend is 9000,10000,11000. RS...1st, 2nd 3rd year pg.
there is no bond to serve in state after pg. but if you leave a pg after joining it, u just have pay the stipend you have drawn.  no xtra money

dmrd and radio r good. there r a lot of x-ray and ct scan done, but mind it the MRI machine is not being used at present(as long as i have heard) maybe some problem. the mdrd (1 seat) and dmrd r hot choices here......
ms surgery is good. u get a lot of patients and appendicitis and hernia and hydrocele r rampant. there is a disadvantage that u may not face very technology stuff like laproscopy etc. but u can experiment with patients with no repurcussions. 
as someone said previously that there is a lot of casteism,,,,,,,,,, it is only in UNDERGRADUATE MBBS course. in PG everyone who is there r good studs so they no good is gonna come out of casteism.
the teachers may be a bit lax abt studies.
md medicine is very good here

last thing whcich i will request u to do ...can u tell us about the last year councelling....at what ranks which subject were taken....a general idea will do....subjects like medicine,radio(including dmrd),pediatrics(with dch),surgery,o n g......

hi dr sweta, as i wrote in another post , md pedia fill up within 10 ranks general.
but u can easily get ms Gynae
or md medicine, we have 2 PGs in medicine( i mean female ones) (sorry if u regard me as a male chauvinist, though im not one) .......
surgery slim, chance it all depends on what the future rankers take. so the trend keeps changing. but pedia NO CHANCE even though we have lot as even females high rankers prefer pedia over Gynae
coz of blah blah......reasons.
