hi.i'm one of the north indian who did mbbs from trichur medical college.i along with my freinds appealed for institution quota in kerala and its my pleasure to tell u that we ve won the case so that from next year ownwards all students studying in various medical colleges in kerala can write state entrance exam...

This is tooo bed. Ths does not exist in other states. Kerala is a state with minimum number of PG seats and seats are not enough for even keralites.

Congrats praveen! I cant think of any valid reason why the poor guys were denied the right in the first place. IMO every person that does his undergrad in a state should be eligible to take the state pg entrance.

for those who are telling its bad and should not be followed here in kerala
i'll tell them that its been followed in every state in india...keralites who are studying in any other states in india are eligible to write the state entrance of that particular state...so the same should be followed here too

but a reservation of 15 % is that enough...?
one of my friends in ap got thru with 28 but still says she wont get a med seat it that big state...

IN ALL STATES..THOSE WHO DO MBBS FROM EACH STATE......THE HONORABLE SC COURT HAS GIVEN PERMISSION TO THEM DO WRITE PG ENTRANCE IN THE STATES THEY DID THEIR MBBS. THE SAME WAY THE KERALITES WHO DO MBBS IN KARNATAKA APPEAR FOR KARNATAKA ENTRANCE......
BUT THE KERALA GOVT NEVER RECOGNISED THEIR ELIGIBILITY.
AND ALSO THE STATES THEY WHERE ORIGINALLY FROM ALSO DENIED THEIR ELIGIBILITY THERE AND THE MATTER IN COURT ......THE SC GAVE.....GO AND WRITE PG IN RESPECTIVE STATES WHERE THEY DID THEIR MD......
SO EVERY YEAR DOZENS OF NON KERALITE DOCTORS WHO JOINED IN KERALA VIA MBBS COULD ""NOT WRITE "" ANY STATE ENTRANCES.....
IT IS ONLY FAIR THAT THEY ARE GIVEN A CHANCE ""TO WRITE"" THE EXAM...I BELIEVE NO QUOTA HAS BEEN KEPT FOR THAT.......
IF ANY ONE OF US ARE IN THEIR POSITION.....IT IS A FAIR VERDICT TO BE GIVEN...THE LESS NO OF SEATS IN KERALA IS ANOTHER MATTER......WHICH HAS TO BE INCREASED......AND IT WILL BE BY NEXT YEAR.....
