first take ear

1. Furuncle -------------Icthymolglycerine
2. Diffuse Otitis externa--------- Irrigation with normal saline
3. Acute and chronic otitis externa--------- Gentamycin and Corticosteroids
4. Otomycosis-----------2 % Salicyclic acid in alcohol
5. Otitis externa with dandruf--------- Salicyclic acid, Sulphur and Petroleum Jelly
6. Keratosis obturrans ---------Soften with Sodium bicarbonate and syringing
7. Maggots in ear ---------- Chloroform vapour application. Later removal
8. Migrainous neuralgia--------------- Clonidine HCL

. Epistaxis----------- Cautery is the treatment of choice except in children.
Best agent is chromic acid. Safe is electric cautery

a. Bleeding from above the middle turbinate--- Clip the Anterior Ethmoidal artery
b. Bleeding from below the middle turbinate ------Clip the Maxillary artery and branch
c. If clotting factors are decreased ---No pack, best is cautery
d. In children -------Petroloeum jelly application is used
