hi advisor, a wana to know about how funds are granted to students?i mean acoording to GRE rank? weather they take into acount ur academic record in india?wat about u have attempts more than one in ur ug?

hi urvashi...

well there is no specific criteria as such for granting of funds... ( and by funds i guess u mean financial assistance )...
it depends on the program u've applied for, the university policy etc..
ofcourse good GRE /TOEFL scores and under grad acads would surely make u a more deserving candidate.... but its not a hard and fast rule...
writing personal emails to profs requesting them to consider u for an assistantship also helps quite a bit..

I thought this group is moderated tightly by owners of this forum. Then why such mesaages ridiculing themselves. I think moderators should screen the msgs before making it available for everyone else. I understand its not very easy but its needed as some are treating this forum as dating services! Am i right mic?
