there should be a specific definition for internship
respect respect.....
we should be tought why do we have to do things rather than (ddoo itt man) just do it? belive me it works ,you will involved in it in and out rather than being a hard working donkey.when you have objectives it help evaluate ur self so u can work towords them .i dont mind working hard but at the end of the day i shoud come out with somthin useful that make me satisfied .early days when dr finish mbbs they use to be somthin hhh ?what happaned?

i totally agree with u doc...seriouly the thins which we are doing in internship are really not for a doctor yaar...actually we are just there to help the respected departments to decrese their workload...ok done---we as interns are ready to help them decreasing their workload....but what happens is if we work really nice then we are given more and more buden of work and thas not even an average quality work....and once in a blue moon if we are not ready to be with them ---then comes the problem for us to get our term completion...

Absolutely, we are always being told that being interns is the hardest times of one's medical career's in terms of lack of sleep, exhaustion and not to mention being growled at . It is like being a slave . Some say it distinguishes the boy from the man.

However, internship is also a time where you put your best forward. i beleive it is a time where you test whether your love for a field is genuine or lip service like how year one students ' want to famous and help their relatives etc etc etc

I also agree that there should be definition for internships that should be recognised as minimum rather than maximum standards of work demanded of interns.

Internship is compulsory everywhere I searched. I believe it should be too. After your MBBS studies, you beome an intern learning the about the things you missed out in Med school. The good part of it , is you get paid.

However, as stated by all, it is no walk in the park.
