Quick Scroll pg in singapore 06.21.06 (2 years ago) #2

Hi,saw ur query about doing pg in Singapore...don't think its very easy..as far as i know..any foreign degree holder has to get registered with the singapore medical council.A fresh candidate who is a singaporean or permanent resident of singapore can do this by sitting for a qualifying exam..which is actually the final year exam taken by the singaporean university medical students.being allowed to take this exam is subject to approval by smc..or if u have 3-5 years experience u can work here and do pg via intercollegiate MRCS etc at the national university of singapore....hope this is useful..gd luck

HI,like i have mentioned earlier...Singapore medical council will give u temporary registration which is subject to an offer of employment from any local hospital...tis registration will be renewable on a yearly basis depending on ur perforamance and the hospital's willingness to continue ur emplyment...in order to get the employment they usually ask for 3-5 years of post mbbs experience with excellent reference. In order to convert the temp registration to conditional u have to get ur MRCP ...pls check the smc official website for further info...hope tis is useful

to do post graduation in Singapore you must find a job as medical officer in singapore which is only possible if you belong to following medical colleges:
1-AIIMS 2-mamc 3-CMC Vellore 4-JIPMER 5-AFMC

if you are not from above medical colleges.
then don't waste your time, the basic medical degree of above colleges are recognized by Singapore medical council

they will pay you 4500 Singapore dollar as medical officer on a three year contract ,after working for 5 months you can apply for pg and you can get that easily.
