Quick Scroll PAY SCALES FOR DIFFERENT BRANCES Saturday 20th of May 2006 03:18:10 PM (4 years ago) #10

PUTTING AN AVERAGE LIST OF EXPECTATIONS FOR DOCS IN EACH FIELD.. GOT FROM DATAS ASKING SENIORS [IF U CAN ADD OR CORRECT ANY THING.. WE COULD MAKE IT MORE ACCURATE]
FOR GP /PP FELLOWS- MONEY FACTOR COULD BE ADVANCED IF HE MANAGES CUTS AND COMMISIONS ALSO
ALSO THIS IS IN PRIVATE SECTOR...
IN GOVT SECTOR ..MAX AMOUT FOR HOD EVEN WILL NOT REACH 40K .. ONLY EXPECT IN 20K +..

RADIOLOGIST RS 25K TO 100K DEPENDING ON KNOWLEDGE EXPOSURE TO MACHINES AND NO. OF CASES DONE
IF PRIVATE SCAN CENTRE- CUTS RS 350 PER MRI , 150 FOR USG AND RS 500 FOR CT GUIDED BIOPSY

GENERAL SURGEON- RS 25K TO 60 K+ CUTS
GENERAL MEDICINE- RS 25K TO 60 K+ CUTS
PEDIATRICIAN - RS 25 K TO 60 K+ CUTS
ORTHOPEDICIAN RS 25K AS A FRESHER TO 80K
PLUS CUTS COMMISIONS AND IF AN EXPERT IN THINGS LIKE ARTHROSCOPY EVEN MORE
ENT- RS 25K TO 50K - MORE FORSCOPIES
OPHAL - RS 25 K TO 60 K [ EXTRA LIKE LASIK.. EARN MORE] PLUS SPECIALISATION IN RETINA OR CORNEA WILL PROVIDE MORE ACCORDING TO DEMAND
GYNECOLOGIST- RS 25 - 100 K DEPENDING ON FRESHER.. TO A CONSULTANT OF THE HIGHEST DEGREE WHO DOES ONLY EMERGENCY CASES
FOR O AND G WHO HAS SOMETHING SPECIAL LIKE LAP SX OR IVF- COULD EARN MORE.. BUT U HAVE TOGET EXTRA TRAINING
ANESTHESIA- FOR FREE LANCER RS 5000 PER CASE OR IF THEY PUT YOU RS 15000 TO 40000 K
RADIOTHERAPY RS 25000 TO RS 1K
CHEST AND TB PHYSICIAN- RS 25000 TO RS 70 K[ EXTRA CUTS AND SCOPIES ]
PATHOLOGIST - RS 25K TO 60K
PHARMA RS 25K TO 80K+
SKIN RS 20K TO 80 K + [ plus knowledge in cosmetology procedures, lazers etc] if u have all that facilities for procedures.. more money in this more glamourous world
PSYCHIATRY- RS 25K TO 60 K [ plus PP] - many prefer private consultations to hospital visits

SPECIALISTS / CONSULTANTS IN MEDICAL AND SURGICAL - 50K TO 1-2K
IN METROS

BUT ONE THING EVERY DOC SHOULD REMEMBER IS .. IF A CONSULTANT POST OF A GOOD HOSPITAL IS FILLED BY SOME ONE.. IT WILL MOST PROBABLY REMAIN LIKE THAT FOR LOOONG TIME- APPX 15 YRS...OR ELSE GO FOR A NEWLY OPENED ONE
SO WE WILL REACH A CONSULTANT POST IN ONLY THAT MUCH TIME ATLEAST IN WHICH WE MOVE OUT FROM OUR EXAM THEORY KNOWLEDGE TO PRACTICAL STUFF AND DEALING WITH PEOPLE....

SO MONEY IS A DISTANT THING FOR DOCTORS IN INDIA...
OR ELSE IF U PREFER EARLY MONEY.. GOING OUTSIDE IS AN OPTION.. OR ELSE
U WONT BE FULLY SATISFIED.. MY OPINION ONLY
IF U ARE HERE FOR THE MONEY.. U HAVE LOT TO DO THEN.. IF U ARE FOR THE SUBJECT.. U WILL BE SATISFIED SOON..
IF U R FOR RECOGNITION...AGAIN..LOT OF WORK.. BCOZ IT IS HARDER TO GET HERE.. MORE FROM COLLEGUES AND MUCH BETTER FROM PATIENTS
SO DECIDE WISELY!

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CORRECT ME AT ANY POINT... WHICH WILL MAKE DATA MORE ACCURATE........!!!!!!

money is a variable....i have seen md med from pgi chandigarh get 25000rs/mth and i have also seen md micro from medical college, klkata earn 1 lakh per week!!yes!!per week!!so money making is an individual's own effort n expertise!!with an mbbs degree u are sure of getting 20000/mth if u are willing to work...after that it can inc to 1 lac/day to 2 lac/yr....anything...if you hv the calibre to mint money you will do it even without any degree!!

Dear Vimoj,
this is a bit out of the topic but I thought many would agree with me.
That was really decent of u to take the criticism in the right spirit and rectify what they pointed out.
thanks buddy:)
