USG is used but is not the investingation of choice,HIDA scan is used for diagnosing biliary atresia.

according to harrison HIDA scan is confirmatory...
USG scan will show stones in 09% to 95% patients...nothing about investigation of choice...
USG is intitial procedure of choice in possible biliary tract obstuction.....but
acute cholecystitis is inflammation...
