Hi,everybody.Can someone throw some light on the advantages of the parmanent registration,that is being talked about so often?
Would the plabbers be cosidered at par with the EEA docs?
If yes;then what is the point of implementing the new rules?
If no;then what is the fun of giving/applying for permanent registration?

And how long one has to pay to keep himself registered?
Would it be valid in some other countries?

At present it gives an impression that it is another way of extracting money from overseas graduates.

Am i right?Does anybody has any idea about this? :

There's nothing as 'permanent registration'
Instead of the 'limited registration' offered currently it would be the 'full registration'.

For the common plabber it would make no difference apart from paying £290 to the GMC on passing the PLAB part 2.

The only advantage is that plabbers would be able to get registration with the GMC without an offer for a job. But then they would have to pay the reg. fees every year to maintain the registration... with or without a job!

Nothing else would change...
