ACDEMICS

AN MS OR DNB CAN OUTWEIGH EACH OTHER BASED ON ABOVE THREE CRITERIA;AND IT VARIES FROM HOSPITAL TO HOSPITAL.

One has to clear DNB CET first,then he is eligible for training (for 3 years if he is an MBBS or for 2 years if he has done a DO). after training u have to appaer for DNB Final exams which comprises theory and practicals. for training in a particular hospital/institute/college one has to apply separately. so if u have a list of hospitals where u would like to undergo DNB training,then u must apply separately to each of them once u have cleared DNB CET. Hospitals publish their own merit list on the basis of applications received by them from the CET cleared candidates.

SION hospital in mumbai is the best in mah where u get to do all kinda(most) surgeries with good academics followed by KEM. Next in order r nair/TNMC and JJ. dont know about hospitals in the periphery of MAH and BJ Pune. but the problem is that there a very few seats of ms ophthal in mah.

being nonrecognised by MCI makes a degree/diploma valid in that particular state only where the college is situated(hoping that those degree/diploma are recognised by state medical council) and not out of that state.that means u can not practice on the basis of ur degree outside ur state.
