i have just started as a medical student...
now as uk is closed every1 will rush to us...
even students from east european countries go there ie ukraine hungary bulgaria etc
now wid reservation up 77% indians eye us too..
in short us is d best attraction now for medics..
wat gives me night mares is dat what will happen to students like me????
WILL US SHUT DOWN LI KE UK ina few yrs??????

i have just heard that one cannot give USMLE unless one has registered from ones own country..
does that mean that i cant give my USMLE untill ive passed the mci registration..ie i cant start gvng 1 n 2 untill 6 yrs...
is thiss true...??

u can start giving usmlestep 1 when u have completed 2 years of medical school.
no need to go for mci regn.thats NOT required.
they just need the application signed by dean and a letter will be written to dean to inquire abt your transcript(marksheet) and certifcate, if u have passed.

dont worry! UK setup is not like oh uk or NHS, that is , they have a knack of selecting the best, so u'll be forced to face more competition but there will be places available!

if your luck favours then maybe UK will again open for us, by the time when they r full of those nonenglish speaking EU docs.

people out there in states r also aware of the situation out here!!
n they r working on it!
they plan not to loose the so-called-specialised lot they have been unwittingly offered!
so, they r spreading their wings futher though it may take a bit a time but surely they r working on it!!
