PHLYCTEN :a small pinkish white nodule near the limbus surrounded by hyperemia.

NODULAR EPISCLERITIS:The hallmark is the presence of a small, firm nodule in the sclera. These nodules usually are near the limbus and may slowly enlarge.

SARCOIDOSIS: presents as multilobular limbal corneal nodules.

MALIGNANT MELANOMA: of uvea.

VASCULARISED LIMBAL KERATITIS: usually following contact lens wear

LANGERHANS CELL HISTIOCYTOSIS

Please note that pterygium n pingueculas are not nodules but triangular patches of vascularised granulation tissue and appearance like fat respectively...and have characteristic features pathognomic of them.
the dd includes:
Nodular scleritis
Ciliary staphyloma
vernal KC(limbal form)
sarcoidosis
phlycten
bleb post trabeculectomy

got this extra data from an opthal notes... i think it was some 'basak'... there is a list of 20 odd D.D.s for nodule at limbus...
Will find out actual details and post...
