I am a doctor doing my post-graduation in pediatrics ,applied for visa to attend a conference in atlanta. My plans are to go for USMLE later. What r my prospects of getting a visa for step 2 cs if i geta B1 visa now?people say that once u get us visa stamping, the chances of rejection later on are almost nil. Please advise me regarding this.

It depends on how u use ur permitted visa. If u dnt misuse or overstay, chances of rejection r minimal in subsequent applications.

Going by d trend, u'll most probably get a 10 year multi entry, so u won't have 2 worry about applying again for visa.

Good luck! icon_smile.gif

I was successful in getting B1/B2 10 yr ME visa for almost similar circumstances. However i put my application in London as i live here. Don't know if the location makes a difference in the outcome.
