hi,
i have a question regarding mle after pg... i've just completed my mbbs and m thinking of pursuing neurology? should i try for mle now and do residency in the US or go for mle after MD Medicine? is our degree valid or will i have to go through residency again? and what r the requirements for a fellowship?

as far as i know...indian pg degrees r not valid in the US...if n e 1 know more abt this, plz do put it up...

docrej tell me any adavantage of doing PG here in India n going for MLE..???? If nt recongnised still does expreince in specific filed wud fetch sum job there????

if u complete ur PG in INDIA u can still get a fellowship in neurology in the U.S. chances of which would increase if u do PG from an institute like AIIMS /PGIMER /CMC plus have some good publications during ur PG. u can get it with some much difficulty on J1 or H1b visa.but then u cant practice in the u.s. and will have to come back. but even in that case u would be rated very high and get good attachments in private sector.For practice in the U.S. u would have to do a residency in THE U.S. which would also increase ur chances of getting a fellowship in neurology. both r equally good options depending on where u wanna settle.

I just want to know that people are going to US after PG, like MD Medicine, Gyaenec, orthopaedics ... So, what are their priorities, I mean they want to settle in the US that's why they repeat Residency in the US after giving USMLE ??
I think only MBBS is not good but if someone is MD or MS in Medicine and orthopaedics like branchs in India, they have good future here in India also.
Life after PG also not satisfactory in India?? what is the scenario??

i have done my md medicine and now preparing for USMLE . i want to do internal medicine there. so that when i return ican get easy attachment to some corporate hospital. it is difficult with only md degree from india.

hi after completion PG india , how much time should taken to complete kaplan course for step 1 and how shall i get fellowship in US I mean what are the procedure before clear the MLE to get fellowship
