Dear Doc.
thalidomide is for the treatment of erythema nodosum leprosum (ENL), a complication of leprosy 1.

hey there,
I am so sorry for making a mistake in the answer ealrier on.
Patients with type 1 reactions (except minor skin inflammation) are given Dapsone and Prednisone(steroid). Thalidomide can be give in type-1 though its DOC in type-2.
In type 1 reaction there is usually minor skin inflammation which should not be treated.Incisions and drainage is to be done if pt has high skin inflammation with abscess formation.
thus the answer is 4.

hope, its settled now! Sorry for typo again...
