Quick Scroll MBBS from Nigeria. 5 years experience in Germany. Want work 10.27.06 (1 year ago) #1

II am a Nigerian with permanent residency in Germany.
My medical training (MBBS) was in Nigeria 1998 but I have been practising in Germany (internal medicine) for the past 5 years. I am planning re-locating out of Germany and I really consider working in the Gulf . (UAE, S. Arabia, Brunei etc).
I am meant to understand that some of these state have qualifying exam and some have exe3mptions for doctors with western experience.

Could somebody please give me a short clue into what applies here and where I stand a better / easier chance of getting registration.

In reciprocation, I am willing to answer question relating to medical practise in Germany with foreign certificate.

Thanks

Germany operates on state level. This means that the laws relating to medical practise especially where foreign doctors are concerned vary from state to state. The most liberal state is Lower-saxony. (Niedersachsen). In general, there are no exams or assessment interview to get temporary registration . The main problem most foreign applications face is the command of the language. If you know the language to extent of being able to communicate even with grammatical errors , you have chances of getting a job in Niedersachsen. All you need to do is applying for a job and when you have an offer, a temporary license will be issued for that position.

This UAE exam you mentioned, do I need to come to UAE to do the exam or can I sit for it in Germany. Since the exam just held in september, does it mean that the next will be in sept. 2007?
Where can i get more info about this exam?
