Hi everyone. One of my friends was a doctor in India & she few months back (about 4 months) shifted to U.S. with her husband. Now she is working in a well-reputed pharmacy company as a “ clinical researcher” . She told many other designations for doctors in pharmacy companies, medical technological companies & other healthcare care organizations. She is getting a very handsome salary & I liked its better option than USMLE . Please share your experiences about it.

this sounds good. but all depends on whether you are happy doing reseach or not. i would prefer some clinical job anywhere in the world. this is because i studied medicine with an aim of treating patients. there are a few doctors who donot like treating patients and this is a good option for them!

HI Dr Ameer!i absolutely agree with u.may b people who r in this profession for mere materialistic goals r not going to agree with people like us.no hard feelings but yeah if u'ev saved even one life and seen the smile on his relatives face ,i believe u'ev lived ur life.the satisfaction that one gets out of one to one contact is beyond but YEAH WE WOULD EV BEEN NO where without the research.so all those wanna do that can carry on n we can be on the front, diagnosing n treating patients.

NOW COMING TO MY DEAR FRIEND AMEER ....I WIL ASK U ONE Q. ...WHAT IS THE PERCENTAGE OF PATIENTS IN CLINICAL PRACTICE , WHERE U ACTUALLY SAVE LIFE OF PATIENTS?I THINK HARDLY IT WIL COME 1-2%.. well, the discussion sure seems to have heated up now...well i'll put in my humble opinion here.
i believe that both are equally important...none can survive without the other.
without research there is no progress...and obviously i dont need to emphasize the importance of clinicians here.
every man's work is worth it...pls let us not judge them only by the money they make...lets judge them by the importance it carries towards our service to the community and i believe both are equally important...its just a matter of personal preference about what work brings you more satisfaction and where you feel more comfortable...good luck to all !!

hi Dr Achilles! i think thats the right way to close this chapter.i believe its pretty hard to decide on this but still some of us r getting too materialistic probably coz we are in this field to make money n not serve the suffering people.sorry about that n i am not an exception.what patients or relatives think about us as doctors depends on our attitude n the way we present ourselves,definately not by participating actively in female foeticide.
