I agree with Shivesh.In histotoxic hypoxia, the tissues r unable to utilise the oxygen even when its available to them in normal amounts. Hence oxygen therapy alone wouldnt be effective in histotoxic hypoxia.U have to neutralise the poison at the cellular level.

all guide says its anemic hypoxia.......i have no valid reason to go against hist toxic too...

yaar pata nahi ye question bahut dimag kha raha hai... ek aur question hai ki why we add glucose to stored blood.... are senior bhai logon nadu... bruno.. xpg .. kahan gaye sab log yaar koi to suno ......!!!

administration of oxygen rich mixtures is of very limited value in stagnant[ischemic], anaemic and histotoxic hypoxia.... and also hypoxic hypoxia due to shunting...ref ganong 21 st edition,695 page..

probably quetion might be oxygen not effective in all except... i will pick up hypoxic hypoxia..[/quote]
