Quick Scroll working with MCi registration 05.07.07 (1 year ago) #9

Hello everyone,
Let me answer about the few things.
WORKING AS MEDICAL OFFICER: I have talked to many professors and senior doctors. They told me that without MCI registration , we can’t work individually as a doctor, but can assist any doctor anywhere in India. Definitely in Government hospital no one will take you as there are qualified assistants , senior nurses, junior doctors , technicians etc. but in private hospital we can join any doctor but we will me working as a medical assistant not medical officer. Means we can’t independently see patients. There must be some registered doctor with permanent registration under whom you are working or to whom you are assisting.
Many doctors are working in private hospitals with FMG ( I know many of them personally ) but either they lied to the hospital about their permanent registration or hospital administration forget to ask or such doctors are not authorized to sign anywhere legally or such posts are just on verbal commitments . But all this is not legal. ( according to my knowledge few friends working in Delhi without permanent registration are getting 10 k per month where as in small cities getting 3k-6k per month).
WORKING IN HOSPITAL ADMINISTATION : Working in any hospital in hospital administration is legal . Any graduate from anywhere can join hospital administration. There is no need of medical back ground or medical qualification. So if it is not a medical post then your post is legal. If you are foreign medical graduate but working as hospital administrator , assistant to hospital administrator, in healthcare planning department ,in health services management, record keeping department ,hospital information systems etc, then your post is legal and you have a right to get a legal salary and pay tax to the government.

APART from this if your medical university or collage is WHO recognized you can join any voluntary health organization, NGO’s and other UNO’s organizations.
