well govind,

nothing much is mentioned in the introduction pege other than that some PET images have been added n some photos edited.............

But since i went through the whole of the previous edition.... here's the changes:---

** A new section: Section IX : "Surgical instruments in Ophthalmology "--has been added (n its just blilliant for the following reasons:
*things that look similar r discussed seperately, eg. all the forceps together along with the actual photographs side by side to aid easy differentiatiation,
*Instruments that r used for a specific type of surgery are seperately discusssed, eg. all the intruments used in ECCE or squint surgery/enucleation r dealt seperately stepwise n with actual photos of the instruments ( this is a very new feature n is very much required for its isn't there in any other UG books n is very imp from the practical exam point of view)

**other than this, some new pictures have been added

**Provides ONLINE SUPPORT along with the book

** last but most importantly----*ITS A THINNER BOOK( 576 pages as compared to the 614 of the 19th edition),mainly because of the fact that its is larger (2 inches longer n 1 anch broader icon_smile.gif ). SO VERY HANDY.
*BIGGER FONT SIZE (almost double the previous)-- so much more clear....

I wish I had this edition of the BOOK a year back.

hope thes informations help.. icon_smile.gif

i think u meant.... is parsons better than khurana...... well .... i hwave similar feelings..... even i found it difficult to read only parsons.... so what i did was.... made khurana my main book--- Basak my first reference--- n just went through every topic at the end from parsons to cover up anything that i have missed..... what i found is that there indeed r some things there in parsons thats not there in any other book... so can't overlook it totally also -- icon_smile.gif

Being thorough with Khurana.... the 1st step....

if u manage to succeed....Doing some topics from Parsons not given properly in Khurana will surely help. As simple as that. icon_smile.gif
