for anybody aspiring to do MD Pediatrics in ICH, MAdras Medical College. Chennai....

Please be forewarned...!

Its not as good an institute as it used to be. Most of the stalwarts of the Institute retired when i was doing my MD there, b/w 2003 - 2006. The Institute now has nothing to justify its reputation as a great Institute for Pediatric training. The only aspect still good about the Institute is the varied number of cases one can see there. In fact, patient-census and variety wise it continues to be the largest pediatric instittute in South-Asia, but with almost no good teachers around, one can't expect to do anything great there now.
