Ans: a , Echinococcus multilocularis causes severe infection of lungs and carries worst prognosis and is deficient in Germ layer

in harrisons it`s given that it doesn`t have proscolices and brrod capsules and the thing spreads out thru germ capsules?? what do we make of that

yes you are right berkamp, I checked harrisons and it is mentioned that protoscolices are not seen, I had read somewhere that it has deficient germinal layer , may be deficient compared to E.granulosus, and here the answer would be absent protoscolices

There is no mention of the laminated layer either..how about this logic- becoa it keeps growing it doesn`t have any limiting laminated layer and multi locules grow out of the germ layer

the choice was of scolex...protoscolices and scolices , r they the same?coz scolex is the main part of cestodes, how cud scolex be absent?

when the protoscolices are absent, naturally scoles also would be absent, Harrison mention the pathogenises is due to invasion of projections from the germinal layer
