does anyone know any website etc, or any other forums where one can find places to stay in the US... like hotels, shared rooms etc.... for an extended period of time....?

please reply, as i have to schedule my observerships etc, based on this issue of staying somewhere.

u might have to become a member first, but it'll be worth it.

youth hostels dont let you stay beyond a period of 3 weeks at a stretch. they are good if you are looking for short term accomodations.

try the classifieds section on the sulekha website. ppl often advertisement for accomodations here. also university towns with decent public transport facilities moght be safe bets.

georgia tech and virginia tech often have students who are ready to accomodate another member.

I am in san francisco, california. Monroe residence club hotsl is one of the cheapest here, and offers clean good quality rooms and decent breakfast + dinner at $270 per week. You can stay as long as you pay.
Any body who need further info regarding accommodation and getting around in SFO drop me a mail- but I can't help with clinical attachments and observerships.
