Would anyone know if the work experience matters more or USMLE scores? Since I Have a very short period of medical experience outside USA, but have USMLE score in Step 1 in early 90s. Is it a good thing ?

US clinical experience is always valuable.
Clinical experience outside US is not rated as highly.
Good scores are always welcome...early 90`s is nice.

Glad to be of help.
I matched in Psychiatry in New York.
Jamaica (NY), Duke (NC), Univ of Minnesota (MN), LSU (New Orleans) are willing to offer observerships in Psychiatry .
I would suggest you write to the program coordinators personally.
The best thing to do would be to call them.

Psychiatry is not as competitive as IM. But as more and more candidates apply, the importance of scores is soaring high.
Apply to the community hospitals and average institutions to increase your chances.
Hands-on experience matters more than scores.
