Friends, peace at last..............I hav been going to the sastha bhawan for the last few days to seek some transparency on the counselling issues and finally discovered rays of hope at the end of the long dark tunnel.............
No need to file a case, I hope now, after the final seat distribution
sheet...........
These were the confusions for which we had been arguing which have
been more or less fulfilled:-

1. Discrepancy regarding a lot of degree seats .........those seats that

have decreaased from last year albeit there have been no apparent

problems with those..........Check out the new distribution............Open

degree seats have increased from 99 to 112......with loss in only one

anaesthasia seat.

2. As far as additional diploma seats are concerned they decided to

show it only on the day of counselling............that cud lead to very little

time to act provided there were any controversy..........We argued

vehemently against this and now hav got a few more days........... u can

breathe a little better now.

3. Open recog diploma seats seeem to have decreased

apparently...........But last yr a lot of diploma seats(besides the

additional) were unrecog eg dortho.........this tim they have made very

clear distribution of this recognition business and kept both recog and

unrecog in separate categories

4. The idiotic 500 pt roster cud not accomodate the back rankers

which have to be increased to 1050 to accomodate all th back rankers.

Many of the general candidates argue that it may not harm them and are

declined to go to case regarding this issue............This is the only outlet

left for argument.

5. As far as the point roster is concerned, they have followed the AIPGE

pattern.........they will call an sc for an sc but also a general for a

general (and not an sc even if he is just next to the general

candidate.......unlike AIPGE counselling)...........now that we have to wait

till d-day to verify it and also their promise that all the seats will be

displayed whole time with their status(taken or not).

6. So many seats have been gifted to the service guys ............it may

seem so, but check out at every category they have got less than 40%

.............but whether there has been equitable distribution of seats and

colleges is another issue where there have been no equivocal agreement

amongst us.............write what u feel about it............this is the thing

that need to be debated!

7. Total no. of seats of the service quota very much exceeds that of the

total service candidates qualified...........I personally asked DME about

the fate of the remaining unfulfilled seats........Madam promises to give

them to the open candidates in the counselling if possible........... if they

cud not get time for the same, surely those seats wud be handed to the

open in the second counselling.............none of them wud be lost.

8. Six non payable degree seats can be achieved from the command

hospital..........They were also available last yr, but no one cared

then...........But the army ppl, as we hav seen are very reluctant to give

chance to civilians..................it is a different world altogether! DME

has promosed to make arrangements for stipend if anyone can manage

them in the counselling..............Anyone interested can meet eye HOD

of the command hospital for that purpose as soon as possible.

If anyone has any more confusions regarding this counselling

business..............I am ready to answer here on this thread

Last but not the least, this match is far form over till the last ball is

bowled............keep your eyes open for any underhand or sultry

business..............

And remember they are determined to complete the whole counselling

of all the open candidates on that coveted 8th april date!............even

throughout the night if necessary (which I think is very much

posssible)!!!

but road is still long and remain vigilant.

Point 5 in ur post is a big gain which u ppl have acheived. it overcomes the wrong commited in AIPG counselling this year.

U guys rock!! Good to see u ppl in action!

Do collect info about seats at Command Hospital.

how should we pay the fees?
is it by cash or a demand draft?
if yes, then in whose name should the draft be drawn?
when will the submission of originals take place?
what happens if anybody fails to submit the fees within 7 days? is he/she allowed for the second counselling?

wat happens wen 9 st candidates who have qualified get over.after that wen st is called ,who goes general or sc?

even 4 sc candidates new roster calls upon 227 sc candidates.but a far less no has actually qualified.will the seats go to general category?

Well, quite a few queries from our Rxpg friends both on phone and forum..............I am trying to answer them as much as i can with my limited knowledge:-

1. Informally I can tell u seats at command hospital is a lost case...........DME is showing same some enthusiasm to allow them as stipendory seats but the command hospital is totally unwilling to take us..........And then a lot of work supported by a lot of high catch is to be done within remaining deadline which is very little

2. As far as bond is concerned, what I hav heard till now is that stipend will be given only after u have deposited ur original documents...........as well as the bond will start thereafter..............but if u dont deposit the originals in view of the forthcoming AIIMS and pgi exams, u wont get the stipend nor u will have to pay the compensating Rs 50,000 or 1 lakh for diploma and degree respectively.........confirm the real fact during the counselling...........what I hav said is onjly the provisional decision regarding the onset of bonds

3. After st ends at rank 9 or rather much earlier............sc will be called for that and will continue till sc ends............after sc ends general ppl will be called for that point...........remember the court rule: st will always be replaced by sc but the ph (only one qualifying this time) will bbe replaced by general...........hence u will only find one ph at point 35...........u gain 3% by that

4. So may scs have gone to the AIPGE + many are reading for the next time AIPGE (their life is much easier now in AIPGE !)+ st pts after st-9 to be filled by scs.....................So u may expect scs to end much earlier..............after all sc/st pts to be filled by generals..............so back rankers may get a clear advantage this time, I think..............Let us see what actually happens in the practical in counselling after all these theoritical speculations!

WAT IS D DEADLINE & LOT OF WORK B4 THAT??
HIGH CATCH MEANS ..WE DIRECTLY HAVE TO GO TO COMMAND HOSP with/without catch.. & THAT THESE R GOVT QUOTA SEATS AT COMMAND HOSP WHICH R NOT GIVEN THRU CU COUNSLNG...

PLZ..HELP EARLIEST AS U HAVE ALREADY MENTIONED OF LITTLE TIME..
