it reminds me of viva days were the initial few took the brunt and spent hrs and the final tail end people just got away with "what is your name?.. What is your case ? tell me the differential diagnosis..

CAP-PGM: 2007 CENTRALIZED ALLOTMENT PROCESS FOR ADMISSION TO PG MEDICAL (DEGREE/DIPLOMA) COURSES-2007

The Centralized Allotment Process for admission to Post Graduate Medical (Degree/Diploma) Courses in the Government Medical Colleges of the State, for Non -service candidates, based on the entrance examination conducted during February 2007 will be held on 15.04.2007 at Mannam Memorial National Club Hall , (Behind Government Secretariat) Thiruvananthapuram. Allotment will be made to all State Quota seats, other than those reserved for Service candidates. No individual memo will be sent to candidates regarding the allotment process. Candidates should reach the allotment venue at their own expense, half an hour before the scheduled time given . Rank lists have been published for allotment to these courses. Candidates will have to appear for the CAP -PG M in the order of rank list and also based on the schedule given. (refer the post above )

Candidates belonging to merit as well as reservation categories who had a place in the rank list have to be present on the date and time prescribed. Allotment to seats reserved for 'Ex-serv ice' and 'Physically handicapped' candidates will also take place on the same day.

A. Seats to which allotment will be made through CAP.
(i) All state quota seats (Subject to approval by the Medical Council of India) except those reserved for Service category as given in Annexure V (a) and (b) of the prospectus approved by Government on 17.03.2007. (ii) Allotment will be made college -wise.

B. Eligibility for admission: Candidates appearing for the C AP-PGM have to satisfy the eligibility conditions regard ing educational qualification and age as prescribed under Clause IV of the Prospectus. Candidates satisfying these conditions alone will be considered for allotment. Candidates have to report for allotment based on their rank, and as per the date and time in the schedule. Those who fail to report at the allotted time will forfeit their chance and they will not be considered for allotment to any vacancies in future .
If any candidate is unable to attend the allotment for specific reasons, he/she may nominate a proxy on his/her behalf with an authorization letter (as given in Annexure VI of the Prospectus, given in the Website) with all original certificates.
C. Allotment of seats: The CEE will allot seats to the courses /colleges based on the rank of the candidate and availability of seats, at the point of time, when the candidate appears for allotment. Appearance of a candidate for allotment will not entitle him/her for allotment of seats, as the same will be subject to availability of seats.
Candidates need not take seat if there are no vacancies of their choice. Candidates whether taking allotment or not can Register their higher order options.

Candidates, taking part in the process of allotment and getting any allotment have to remit the fee applicable fo r the course at the allotment centre itself. Memo will be issued to such candidates after the remittance of fee. Candidates will have to ensure admission by reporting before the Principal of the allotted College, along with all original documents mentioned in the prospectus, on the date mentioned in the Selection Memo. If a candidate does not turn up and take admission in the allotted college on the specified date, he/she will forfeit his /her allotment and admission. The candidate will not be considered fo r any future vacancies based on any Option submitted by him/her. The fee remitted by him will not be refunded under any circumstances.

D. Fee: A candidate who takes an allotment to a course have to remit the fee applicable to the course as given in the P rospectus (Rs. 20,000/ - for Degree Courses and Rs.15000/- for Diploma Courses) at the allotment centre itself. Candidates belonging to SC/ST communities, on receipt of allotment, need not remit the tuition fee. However they have to remit an amount of Rs. 1 000/ - towards caution deposit at the allotment centre. The amount of tuition fee/caution deposit may be remitted as Demand Draft drawn from any Nationalized Bank, drawn in favour of "CEE A/c with Canara Bank", payable at Thiruvananthapuram. Selection Memo will not be issued to candidates who do not remit the fee/caution deposit. Candidates receiving the Memo will have to remit the other items of fee as mentioned in the prospectus in the college at the time of admission.

E. Certificates /Documents to be produced at the allotment centre

(a) Admit card of the Entrance Examination

(b) Original document to prove date of birth.

(c) Original P ass/Degree certificate of the qualifying examination (MBBS Degree)

(d) Permanent Registration Certificate from T.C. Medical Council.

(e) CRRI Certificate.

(f) Original Certificates claiming Special Reservation [mentioned under clause VI (b) and (d) of the prospectus

(g) Certificate of Eligibility/Equivalency certificate for candidates who have passed the qualifying examination (MBBS Degree) from Universities outside Kerala.

(h) Authorisation letter as per Annexure VI and its photocopy, if a proxy is attending the seat allotment on behalf of the candidate.

New Certificates /documents for claiming any reservation /benefits will not be accepted. No chance will be given to submit any of the documents mentioned above after the time of allotment.

In case of candidates already selected/attending the seat allotment in any other institution and who are not able to produce the original mark list will be given a grac e period of seven days subject to the production of valid proof in this regard. However, they have to produce attested copies of their mark lists/documents at the time of CAP. If he/she fails to submit the documents within the allotted time he/she will forfeit his/her allotment.

Any complaint regarding the allotment has to be registered with the office of the CEE and the Commissioner will attend to the same in his office. The allotment and admission will be provisional. Allotment /admission given will be c ancelled, if it is found that false certificates have been produced by the candidate or the candidate is ineligible. The decision of the CEE will be final in the matters related to allotment /admission and will be binding to all candidates.
