Hi there.
There is information on applying for GP VTS schemes including how to complete the application for, practice exam questions and advice on interviews at and a good article on doing a clinical attachment in General Practice after PLAB
2 is complete -http://www.[snip].co.uk/gpvts/clinobserver.htm
There is no MRCGP part 1. THe MRCGP is a modular exam with four sections, and you have to be a GP or a GP trainee (i.e. in vocational training / Gp Registrar) to sit the different parts. Information about the exam is available in the gpvts website under the exams section.
Hope this is useful [/url]

Hi sherin,
I am afraid I am in Wales Deanery, and have no contacts up North. I would suggest you contact the local VTS Course Organiser, and ask them if they know of any Practices that might take someone on, and then write a letter to the practice manager initially, or the senior GP partner.
Hope ti goes well.

Hi sherin,
Each Deanery is responsible of rpublishing dates of their MCQs if they use them. Links to every Deanery are available on the National GP Recruitment site:
London requires an MCQ BEFORE applying, as do a couple of other Deaneries, some use it during shortlisting / longlisting.
Hope this helps
