i have secured md anesthesia this year at TNMC Mumbai (nair hospital)

before starting off with this 3 year exciting journey, i'd request all seniors to please guide me as to how and what should i do so as to make full use of these 3 years?

Hi shashi and Target PG ,
I m an anesthesiologist. I finished my residency in 1998. I worked in many hospital including private. In my opinion is the best anesthesiology section is obstetric anesthesia or ambulatory anesthesia. One thing is very important; Anesthesiologist have to be obsessive. For first year best book is lange (Morgan and Michael) but if you want to see more illustration you can support with some Regional anesthesiology books. CONGRATULATIONS

Sorry that I couldn't answer quickly.
I'm from Turkey.
Therefor I can not allege which hospitals in india are good for them. In USA there are so many fellowships; i.e. neuroanesthesiology, obstetric anesthesiology, acute pain department, chronic pain , critical care, pediatric anesthesia... Fertility rate is high in Turkey. Probably like in India. So you need optionally birth or curettage them. Both need anesthetize. First need obstetric anesthesiology and second ambulatory anesthesiology. In that way I would prefer these fellowships. Maybe I think too simple but it is the reality...
You will be off caurse good anesthesiology if you understand all your patients.
Have a good day...
