Emergency case , hypovolemic shock , no lucidity at all , and single.
You search and find a Yehova card -not sign . You must to do blood transfusion . What are you doing?

ANd you can consider the same case , , you find the yehova card , signed but expired .

And the approximately the same case , you find a yehova card signed and valid , but he is no lucid , and the wife is there , she is Yehova witness too , but she want you to transfuse her husband(It doesn't important who is the blood donor)

All three cases i would go with NO blood transfusion.
If the physician has a clear evidence that patient would refuse blood transfusion if were competent then blood should not be given. (i.e. even if there were no Jehova card found but patient known to be a Jehova witness)

Then , if a person have a Yehova card , is not how he flirt with this religious group . He has a card because is a member , no matter if is signed , expired. This make for anybody clear his intentions with the blood transfusion .But in the third case, if the wife change her mind , it doesn't count?????Consent from the family , is not valuable ?????

I dare to make a question . Yehova people , doesn't accept also organ transplantations?

if a person has joahava card that means he is member of that group.what if u give blood and save that person and he will sue u after getting better?as it has happened already
if advance directive is available in the form of witness card consent from family has no value.every SDM should make decision in the light of patients wishes if advance directive in not available
