My Employer has submitted document for H1 (Normal) Visa in April 2007 and due to some meeting requirement with onsite client i have to rush US urgently. Can i go on Buiness visa while my H1 is under process. I need to go for US for 2 months. Also Kindly let me know what options are available to take spouse alongwith me in business visa. So can i file for Business Visa while H1 is under process ?

you may visit US on B1 while H1 is under process.. however you need to get your H1 stamped.. and only your home country can do it for you.

your wife will have to apply for a tourist visa (B2).

Thanks for your kind reply. Kindly let me know that in future if i will fly on H1 after B1 visit then there would not be an issue for me or there would not be any tricky question raised by USCIS. I just want to know that this sceario is fully safe for my career propects. Thanks a lot for very valuable reply.

H1 after B1 shouldn`t be a problem.
i suggest you contact the US consulate in your sity to ask abt the same.
